Journal of Global Research in Multidisciplinary Studies (JGRMS)

The Journal of Global Research in Multidisciplinary Studies (JGRMS) is committed to maintaining the highest ethical standards in the publication process. Our publication ethics are aligned with the best practices for academic publishing, ensuring transparency, integrity, and fairness for authors, reviewers, editors, and readers. We adhere to the principles outlined by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and encourage ethical behavior at every stage of the publication process.

1. Ethical Guidelines for Authors

  • Originality and Plagiarism: Authors are required to submit original work that has not been previously published or is not under consideration for publication elsewhere. Plagiarism in any form (including self-plagiarism) is strictly prohibited. All sources, ideas, or data that are not original must be properly cited.
  • Authorship: All individuals who have made substantial contributions to the conception, design, analysis, or interpretation of the manuscript should be listed as authors. Authors must ensure that all co-authors have approved the final manuscript and are aware of its submission to JGRMS.
  • Conflict of Interest: Authors must disclose any financial, personal, or professional conflicts of interest that could influence the research or the manuscript. This disclosure ensures transparency and avoids bias in the research findings.
  • Data Integrity: Authors must ensure that the data presented in their manuscript is accurate and transparent. Manipulating or falsifying data is not permitted. Authors must be prepared to provide raw data for review if requested.
  • Citation of Sources: Proper credit should be given to prior work, including through citations and acknowledgment of contributors. Authors must not misrepresent research results or omit important references.

2. Ethical Guidelines for Reviewers

  • Confidentiality: Reviewers must maintain confidentiality regarding the manuscripts they are assigned to review. Manuscripts should not be discussed with others or used for personal advantage.
  • Impartiality and Objectivity: Reviewers are expected to evaluate manuscripts based on their scientific and academic merit, not influenced by personal, financial, or professional interests. Reviews should be constructive, offering valuable feedback for the author to improve the manuscript.
  • Conflicts of Interest: Reviewers must declare any conflicts of interest that might influence their judgment or lead to bias. If a reviewer has a conflict of interest with any author, they should recuse themselves from reviewing that manuscript.
  • Timeliness: Reviewers are expected to complete their evaluations in a timely manner to ensure a smooth publication process. If unable to meet deadlines, reviewers should inform the editorial office as early as possible.

3. Ethical Guidelines for Editors

  • Editorial Independence: Editors are responsible for making objective decisions based solely on the quality of the manuscript and its relevance to the journal’s scope. Editorial decisions should not be influenced by external factors, including financial, political, or personal interests.
  • Confidentiality: Editors must keep all submitted manuscripts and related communications confidential. Manuscripts should not be disclosed to unauthorized individuals during the review process.
  • Fairness: Editors must treat all manuscripts with fairness, ensuring that authors are provided with constructive feedback and clear editorial decisions. Manuscripts should be evaluated based on their quality and not on the author’s reputation, nationality, or institutional affiliation.
  • Conflict of Interest: Editors must disclose any conflicts of interest related to a manuscript and recuse themselves from editorial decisions in cases where they have a conflict.
  • Transparency: Editors are required to maintain transparency regarding the review process and provide feedback to authors, allowing them to make necessary revisions.

4. Plagiarism and Data Fabrication

JGRMS adheres to strict anti-plagiarism and anti-data fabrication policies. All manuscripts are screened for plagiarism using specialized software before being reviewed. Any manuscript found to contain plagiarized content or fabricated data will be rejected, and appropriate corrective actions, including retraction of published articles, will be taken.

5. Retractions and Corrections

  • Retraction: If a published article is found to contain significant errors, falsified data, or plagiarism, the article will be retracted. A notice of retraction will be published, and the article will be removed from the journal's website.
  • Corrections: If minor errors (such as typographical or factual errors) are found post-publication, authors are encouraged to submit a correction. The correction will be published alongside the original article, ensuring that the scientific record remains accurate.

6. Publication Fees

JGRMS operates on an open-access model, ensuring that all content is freely available to readers. The journal does not charge any submission or publication fees. Authors can submit their manuscripts without incurring costs, and the journal is funded through institutional support and sponsorships.

7. Open Access and Licensing

All articles published in JGRMS are open-access and licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution License (CC BY), which allows anyone to freely use, share, and adapt the work, provided the original author and source are properly cited.

8. Archiving and Accessibility

JGRMS is committed to ensuring that all articles are archived and accessible for future research. Articles are stored in digital repositories and are available on the journal’s website, ensuring long-term access and preservation of the research output.

9. Ethics of Editorial Board Members

Members of the editorial board are expected to uphold the ethical standards of the journal. They should actively contribute to the review process, provide advice on editorial matters, and guide the direction of the journal while adhering to ethical principles in their own scholarly work.
